Hyuga pumice comes from the Kyushu area in southern Japan. It is a light volcanic soil, ideal for its moisture retention and water drainage properties

Its pebbles are very porous and the minerals within help lower pH levels and prevent root rot of your bonsai tree. Excellent for all bonsai, it is particularly suitable for rooting plants, cuttings, you can use it pure or mixed with other substrates such as Akadama or bonsai soil

It can also be used as an intermediate layer of rocky soil for orchids or even other houseplants
