Tokoname
Most high-quality bonsai pots come from Japan, and in particular from the Tokoname region, which has been famous for its pottery production since ancient times. Japanese pots, which are still handmade today, are crafted using a single mould and coloured using metals and wood ash. It is often thought that Tokoname pots are made from a single type of clay, but the truth is that each master potter creates a clay mixture using a selection of different clays sourced from various producers on the Chita Peninsula. The selection on our e-commerce site is just a sample of Tokoname vases; our range is very extensive: if you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact us and we will be happy to help you with your search.
