Japanese black volcanic sand 10 lt
Bag of japanese black volcanic sand 10 lt
Origin: Japan
This black lava stone comes directly from Japan. It is suitable for mixing with soil or for placing in the saucer of your bonsai as an embellishment. Minor irregularities in the pots (e.g. wobbles) are thus compensated for. The porous rock absorbs a lot of water which then evaporates. This creates a higher level of humidity for your bonsai. Fuji sand is a type of volcanic gravel similar to Kanuma earth and Kiryu sand. The name comes from the fact that it is often produced at the foot of Mount Fuji. Like Kiryu sand, it is a soil that is often used for planting bonsai and wild grass that do not like too much moisture. Fuji sand is also used as decorative sand to decorate the surface of the pot. The high content of microelements, combined with the porosity and incoherence of pyroclastic materials, make lapilli granules irreplaceable in the preparation of loose soils, with good water retention and, at the same time, excellent draining power.
