This bonsai of Acer buergerianum (maple) is a deciduous species, prized for its distinctive foliage that changes colour as the seasons progress. During spring and summer its leaves are bright green, while in autumn they turn shades of red and orange, until the bonsai tree sheds its leaves in winter. Cultivated in multitrunk style, it features two trunks that start from the base, creating a balanced and dynamic composition that gives stability and harmony to the bonsai. Grown in an oval beige glazed stoneware pot that complete the bonsai by enhancing the beauty of the plant, providing balance and refinement.
Protect the foliage from the strongest summer sun; expose the bonsai to the sun in autumn to intensify the foliage's color. In winter, it's best to protect the root system from frost, especially when grown in very shallow pots or with exposed roots.
Always observe the wet-dry cycle: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water thoroughly. Then wait until the soil dries out before watering again.
