Ligustrum ibota - Privet - 22 cm
Ligustrum bonsai characterised by its height without pot of 17,5 cm, trunk size of 1 cm and nebari of 2,5 cm. The plant is grown in a cloud glazed stoneware pot whose dimensions are 11,5x9,5xh4,5 cm.
The shohin bonsai of Ligustrum ibota (privet), a deciduous fruiting species, is prized for its rusticity, vegetative vigor and natural predisposition to fine branching. The small, bright green leaves allow for a compact and proportionate foliage. The foliage can turn yellow-green in autumn, before the bonsai tree sheds its leaves in winter. In late spring it produces a small white flowering. It has a trunk with harmonious movement that lends dynamism and character to the composition. Cultivated in a cloud deep blue glazed stoneware pot, with soft balanced lines, it creates a refined contrast to the color of the vegetation, enhancing the composition with elegance.
Grow your bonsai outdoors all year round, taking care to place it in a sheltered spot during the colder months and in partial shade during the warmer months.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water thoroughly. Then wait for the soil to dry out before watering again in the same way.
