DESCRIPTION

Shohin bonsai of Fagus crenata (beech), a deciduous species with lanceolate leaves. The bright green foliage turns orange-yellow to brown in autumn and sheds its leaves in winter. It has a trunk with a solid base and harmonious, well-balanced branching, creating a plant that exudes elegance and strength. The informal upright style (Moyogi) is characterised by a trunk with a slight twist that shows strength and stability. The branching develops in an orderly and well-balanced manner, creating an effect of natural elegance. Cultivated in an oval yellow glazed stoneware pot, it creates a subtle contrast to the natural shade of the trunk and roots, emphasising the overall beauty of the plant.

Watering

Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.

Repotting

Repot the Fagus every 1-2 years in late summer or early fall, even if the plant still has all its green leaves: at this time of year, the buds are already fully formed, ensuring further root growth before winter.
