Bonsai of Carpinus turczaninovii (Hornbeam), deciduous, is prized for its pale bark and bright green serrated leaves. The foliage turns golden yellow to brownish orange in autumn and sheds in winter, giving it a very decorative appearance. It has a structure that develops with a gentle curve along the trunk in a harmonious and natural way, the well-spaced branches branch out with balance, creating a structure that gives depth to the whole. The cloud-shaped vase in cream-glazed stoneware contrasts with the bright green of the leaves in spring and summer or with the yellow-orange typical of the autumn period.
Grow bonsai outdoors all year round, taking care to place it in a sheltered spot during the colder months and in partial shade during the warmer months.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water it thoroughly. Then wait for the soil to dry out before watering again in the same way.
