DESCRIPTION

This bonsai of Pinus thunbergii (black pine) is a robust evergreen conifer that is highly valued in the bonsai art for its wrinkled bark and vigorous needles. The foliage is dense and consists of double, long, thin, bright green needles. It has a strong trunk with mature, wrinkled bark, which becomes more interesting as it ages. Cultivated in rectangular unglazed stoneware pot enhances the colour contrast and enhances the natural aesthetics.
