DESCRIPTION

The bonsai of Pinus thunbergii (black pine), evergreen conifer, is robust and highly valued in the bonsai art for its wrinkled bark and vigorous needles. The foliage is dense and consists of double, long, thin, bright green needles. It has a strong trunk, with mature wrinkled bark, which cracks as it ages, becoming increasingly interesting. The well-formed base expresses strength and balance in this magnificent specimen. Shaped in a prostrate style, with a trunk that develops horizontally, creating movement and depth. The branching is compact and well distributed, with balanced branches that enhance the line of the trunk and the clearly visible nebari. Grown in a round unglazed growing pot, it highlights the movement of the trunk and the balance of the crown, without distracting attention from the specimen.
