A Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine) bonsai, an evergreen conifer much prized for its hardiness and adaptability. It is characterised by its slender green needles with grey-blue highlights, and by its bark, which tends to flake over time, taking on warm, decorative hues. It features an exposed-root style (Neagari), in which the roots emerge from the soil, blending with the trunk to create a dynamic and natural composition. The sinuous movement of the trunk and the compact crown complete a harmonious and balanced composition. Grown in a rectangular, cream-glazed stoneware pot, it enhances the colour of the trunk and the intense green of the needles, creating a harmonious whole with great aesthetic impact.
