DESCRIPTION

A Juniperus chinensis Itoigawa (juniper) bonsai, an evergreen conifer, is prized for its elegance and resilience in a variety of conditions. Its deep green, needle-like foliage, which is dense and compact, creates well-defined masses that enhance the structure and lend depth to the composition. Over time, the bark tends to crack, taking on a mature appearance, a feature that enhances its character. Cultivated in a rectangular, blue-glazed stoneware pot, it brings out the colour of the trunk and creates a contrast with the bright green of the foliage without detracting from the specimen itself.
