Punica granatum - Pomegranate - 24 cm
Pomegranate bonsai characterized by a height without pot of 18,5 cm, trunk size of 3,5 cm and nebari of 9 cm. The plant is grown in a round unglazed stoneware pot whose dimensions are Ø11,5xH5,5 cm.
Bonsai of Punica granatum (pomegranate), a deciduous fruit tree, appreciated for its ability to combine elegance, rusticity and seasonal spectacularity. The leaves, small and lanceolate, appear in spring with very decorative red-bronze young shoots that are bright green during the growing season, then take on warm yellow-orange tones in autumn before dropping. During the winter, the plant sheds its leaves completely, emphasising the elegant structure of the trunk and branches. Between late spring and summer, it produces bright orange-red flowers with a characteristic and very ornamental shape. If cultivated under the right conditions, the flowers are followed by fruits, pomegranates, which ripen towards the end of summer-autumn adding further aesthetic value to the plant. Cultivated in a round unglazed stoneware pot, it creates a refined color contrast with the foliage shades and gives the bonsai a sense of naturalness.
