Bonsai of Punica granatum (pomegranate), a deciduous fruit tree, appreciated for its ability to combine elegance, rusticity and seasonal spectacularity. The leaves, small and lanceolate, appear in spring with very decorative red-bronze young shoots that are bright green during the growing season, then take on warm yellow-orange tones in autumn before dropping. During the winter, the plant sheds its leaves completely, emphasising the elegant structure of the trunk and branches. Between late spring and summer, it produces bright orange-red flowers with a characteristic and very ornamental shape. If cultivated under the right conditions, the flowers are followed by fruits, pomegranates, which ripen towards the end of summer-autumn adding further aesthetic value to the plant. Cultivated in a rectangular light blue glazed stoneware pot, creates a refined contrast with the color of the foliage, elegantly enhancing the composition.
