DESCRIPTION

Bonsai are living organisms and each one is unique, so the plant you receive will be similar to, but not identical to, the one shown in the photograph. The height may vary as the plant grows.
The size, colour and shape of the pot may vary depending on availability.

This Malus diable rouge (apple) bonsai, a deciduous fruit tree, is prized for its spring blossoms, a blend of white and pink, and the subsequent production of small apples, which turn from green-yellow to red as they ripen, lending the tree its distinctive character. The foliage consists of oval leaves that are green in spring and summer, turn orange-yellow in autumn and fall off in winter. The rectangular, blue-glazed stoneware pot elegantly enhances and contrasts with the colours of the foliage and fruit.

Location

Grow bonsai outdoors in full sun all year round, taking care to place it in a sheltered spot during the colder months and in partial shade during the warmer months.

Watering

Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water thoroughly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.

Fertilization

Fertilize from spring to fall, avoiding the hottest months of July/August; it is best to fertilize at the end of flowering and after pruning, using an organic, liquid, or solid fertilizer.

Repotting

Repot young specimens every year, and mature ones every two years. Either at the beginning of autumn, so that you can enjoy the flowering the following year, or in spring, before the growing season begins, but then you will have to forego the fruit for that year.
