Kadsura japonica bonsai, an outdoor deciduous plant, is prized for its distinctive foliage with delicately crenate margins, which is a bright green in spring, becomes more intense in summer, and takes on warm yellow-orange hues in autumn before the leaves fall. In spring it produces small pinkish flowers, followed in autumn by characteristic small pod-shaped fruits that are initially green and turn purple as they ripen. The exposed-root style (Neagari) highlights the distinctive structure of the trunk and roots, giving the plant a striking, sculptural appearance. The round, blue-glazed stoneware pot creates an elegant contrast with the green of the foliage and enhances the bonsai’s form, harmoniously completing the composition.
