Utamaro was a ukiyo-e artist well-known for his pictures of female beauties or “Bijinga" He depicts three celebrity beauties in the Edo-Kansei era. The three portrayed are Tomimoto Toyohina, Naniwaya Kita and Takashima Hisa.
