Yumeji's works used dynamic patterns with unique hues and tints that were inspired by motifs from everyday life.

Yumeji TAKEHISA (1884-1934)

Yumeji Takehisa was an expert and popular painter during the Taisho period. His Bijinga painting style is a wonderful representation of Taisho art (a general term used to describe the cultural thoughts and events of Taisho romance). Yumeji's work focused on everyday life projects and commercial products. He was truly a revolutionary graphic designer.
