DESCRIPTION

This bonsai of Podocarpus macrophylla (Podocarp) is an evergreen indoor conifer, prized for its resistance. If cultivated well, it flowers in late spring with small reproductive cones, after which it produces fleshy green fruits that ripen in red-purple/dark purple shades. It has a trunk with a soft and natural line that gives it movement. The well-structured crown, with intense green, lanceolate leaves, creates volume, giving depth and harmony. At the base, the bonsai has a solid, well-distributed nebari that embellishes the composition. Cultivated in a rectangular blue glazed stoneware pot, it helps to emphasize the aesthetics of the bonsai, maintaining a delicate contrast with the intense green of the leaves.
