Ligustrum japonicum texanum (Privet), an evergreen, compact plant appreciated for its elegance and ease of cultivation. The oval leaves with a glossy dark green surface give the plant brightness and vitality. In spring it issues new leaves of a lighter, brighter green, while in summer the colour intensifies; during autumn and winter it remains decorative, without losing its leaves, except for slight thinnings in particularly cold weather. It can produce small white, fragrant flowers in the spring-summer period, followed by dark berries when ripe, adding further ornamental interest to the plant. It is grown in a square black plastic pot.
