Working plant of Cotoneaster horizontalis (horizontal cotoneaster), a deciduous fruit-bearing plant, much loved in the world of bonsai for its compact growth, dense branching and small, oval, glossy, deep green leaves. In spring, it is prized for its small, pinkish-white flowers. In autumn and winter, the foliage turns red, and the plant is adorned with numerous red, decorative and long-lasting berries, which enhance its seasonal charm and make it perfect as an ornamental fruit-bearing bonsai. This plant is currently in the growth and shaping phase. Grown in a round black plastic pot.
Grow bonsai outdoors all year round, taking care to place it in a sheltered spot during the colder months and in partial shade during the warmer months.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water thoroughly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
