Bonsai of Acer palmatum deshojo (maple), deciduous, known for its palmate leaves with bright seasonal tones. The bright red foliage in spring turns green in summer and deep red to orange-red in autumn before shedding in winter. It is grown in a rectangular blue glazed stoneware pot that enhances the colours of the foliage, giving harmony and refinement to the composition.
Protect the foliage from the intense summer sun, while exposing it to the sun in autumn to intensify the color of the leaves. In winter, it is best to protect the root system from frost, especially when grown in very shallow pots or with exposed roots.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
