DESCRIPTION

Acer buergerianum (maple) bonsai, a deciduous species, prized for its distinctive foliage which changes colour as the seasons progress. During spring and summer, its leaves are a vibrant green, whilst in autumn they take on shades of red and orange, until the bonsai sheds its leaves in winter. It has a slightly sloping, well-structured trunk, which conveys stability, strength and maturity. The branches extend along the trunk, gradually decreasing in length towards the apex, creating a balanced and harmonious silhouette that echoes the natural growth of trees in the open air. It is grown in a black rectangular plastic pot, which showcases the trunk and canopy whilst offering practicality, lightness and durability for optimal cultivation.

How to keep your bonsai healthy

Location

Protect the foliage from the strongest summer sun; expose the bonsai to the sun in autumn to intensify the foliage's color. In winter, it's best to protect the root system from frost, especially when grown in very shallow pots or with exposed roots.

Always observe the wet-dry cycle: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water thoroughly. Then wait until the soil dries out before watering again.
