DESCRIPTION
The bonsai of Pinus thunbergii (black pine), evergreen conifer, is robust and highly valued in the bonsai art for its wrinkled bark and vigorous needles. The foliage is dense and consists of double, long, thin, bright green needles. It has a strong trunk, with mature wrinkled bark, which cracks as it ages, becoming increasingly interesting. The well-formed base expresses strength and balance in this magnificent specimen. Cultivated in a round unglazed stoneware pot, it enhances the colour contrast and enhances the natural aesthetics.
