Metasequoia bonsai, a deciduous conifer, highly prized in the art of bonsai for its elegant and natural form. It features soft needles arranged oppositely along the branches. In spring, the foliage is a bright light green; it turns a deep green during the summer and transforms into warm shades of yellow-bronze and copper in autumn before falling, further enhancing the bonsai’s charm. As it ages, the bark becomes fibrous and peels away in vertical strips, becoming increasingly interesting. Cultivated in a rectangular blue-glazed stoneware pot, it enhances the composition and creates a contrast with the bright green of the foliage, lending elegance to the arrangement.
