A Pinus thunbergii bonsai, an evergreen conifer much prized in the art of bonsai for its elegant and vigorous form. It has sturdy needles arranged in pairs, of a deep green colour, which keep the plant compact and harmonious throughout the year. Over time, the bark thickens, taking on deep, dark hues and developing a rough texture that enhances the tree’s mature and distinctive character. Its trunk has a sinuous shape that lends the plant a sense of naturalness. Cultivated in a round, unglazed stoneware pot, it enhances the colour contrast and highlights the natural aesthetic of the bonsai.
