Olea europaea – Olive tree – 41 cm
An Olea europaea bonsai characterised by a height (excluding the pot) of 33 cm, a trunk diameter of 3.5 cm and a nebari of 11 cm. The plant is grown in an oval glazed stoneware pot measuring 20 x 16 x H8 cm.
This Olea europaea (olive tree) bonsai, an evergreen variety, is prized for the beauty of its silvery leaves, its white spring blossoms and the subsequent production of green or purple drupes – the olives – typical of this species. Its structure is characterised by a sturdy trunk with natural movement. The dense, compact crown, with branches that branch out in an orderly and structured manner, gives the bonsai an aesthetically balanced appearance. Cultivated in a cream-coloured glazed stoneware oval pot, it lends elegance and highlights the intense green foliage of the crown.
Grow bonsai outdoors all year round in full sun, taking care to place it in a sheltered spot during the colder months and in partial shade during the warmer months.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
