Bonsai of Caragana, deciduous and flowering, is prized for its robustness and delicate yellow flowers. The foliage consists of small oval leaves that are bright green in spring and summer. In autumn the foliage turns orange-yellow and sheds its leaves in winter. It has a very strong trunk with exposed roots, emphasising the strength and maturity of the plant. It has an exposed root style (neagari), a technique that emphasizes the roots, which extend out of the substrate in a natural and harmonious way, creating a sculptural and dynamic effect. Cultivated in a cloud cream glazed stoneware pot, featuring blue decorations depicting typical oriental landscapes, it enhances the color of the flowers and leaves and creates an elegant contrast with the texture of the trunk.
