Bonsai of Prunus tomentosa (Nanking cherry), deciduous flowering and fruiting, prized for its beauty and elegant appearance. The foliage has slightly serrated green leaves during the spring and summer season, turns yellow-orange in autumn, and sheds in winter. Its delicate, fragrant, pinkish-white flowers bloom in spring, often before the leaves have fully emerged. In late spring and early summer the fruits appear: small round drupes, similar to small cherries, green in colour that turn bright red when ripe. Cultivated in a rectangular blue glazed stoneware pot, it enhances the color contrast and enhances the aesthetics of the plant.
