Durantha repens - 47 cm

Bonsai of Durantha repens, evergreen flowering and fruiting, prized for its compact, shiny vegetation. The foliage has small, oval leaves, slightly toothed at the margins, bright green in colour all year round. It produces small, delicate lilac or purple (sometimes white) flowers in pendulous clusters, appearing from late spring until summer. The flowers are followed by small spherical orange-yellow berries (very toxic) that ripen between summer and autumn. It has a layer style, with foliage distributed on several levels, creating a harmonious effect and visual depth that enhances the movement of the S-shaped trunk, making the composition dynamic yet orderly. Cultivated in a rectangular red glazed stoneware pot, it offers a refined chromatic contrast with the bright green of the foliage, enhancing its aesthetics and making it a bonsai with great decorative impact.
