Malus – Apple tree – 50 cm
Apple bonsai, with a height of 42 cm (excluding the pot) and a trunk diameter of 3 cm. The plant is grown in a rectangular, blue-glazed stoneware pot measuring 24,5x16xH8 cm.
This Malus (apple) bonsai, a deciduous fruit tree, is prized for its spring blossoms – a blend of white and pink – and the subsequent production of small apples, which change colour from green-yellow to red as they ripen, lending the tree its distinctive character. The foliage consists of oval leaves that are green in spring and summer, turn orange-yellow in autumn and fall off in winter. The rectangular blue-glazed stoneware pot elegantly enhances and contrasts with the colours of the foliage and fruit.
Grow bonsai outdoors in full sun all year round, taking care to place it in a sheltered spot during the colder months and in partial shade during the warmer months.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water thoroughly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.

Fertilize from spring to fall, avoiding the hottest months of July/August; it is best to fertilize at the end of flowering and after pruning, using an organic, liquid, or solid fertilizer.

Repot young specimens every year, and mature ones every two years. Either at the beginning of autumn, so that you can enjoy the flowering the following year, or in spring, before the growing season begins, but then you will have to forego the fruit for that year.
