This bonsai of Ficus retusa, belonging to the evergreen indoor variety, is prized for its resistance and rapid growth. It has a dense foliage with deep green oval leaves a sturdy trunk, and well-developed roots. Shaped in forest style (Yose-ue), it consists of several plants with sinuous trunks and an “S” shape, which intertwine to give movement and charm to the bonsai. Enriched with exposed roots and aerial roots characteristic of this species, they create a sculptural and dynamic effect, highlighting the beauty of the roots. Cultivated in an oval blue glazed stoneware pot, with soft rounded lines, it creates a striking visual effect that enhances the structure.
