Camellia sasanqua - Camellia - 180 cm

A Japanese garden plant (Niwaki) of the Camellia sasanqua (camellia), belonging to the evergreen flowering variety, it is prized for its elegant, early and abundant flowering and its majestic habit. Between autumn and winter, it produces vibrant, deep pink (fuchsia) flowers, which create a spectacular colour contrast with the dark green of the leaves. Following flowering, the plant may produce small, woody capsule-like fruits containing seeds, adding further botanical interest. It has small, lanceolate leaves with finely serrated margins, a leathery texture and a very intense dark green colour, ensuring a dense and lush canopy even in the coldest months. Styled in the informal upright (Moyogi) style, it features a sinuous and well-balanced trunk, with natural curves that lend movement, harmony and a strong sense of maturity to the canopy. Grown in a round black plastic pot.
