DESCRIPTION

Unique specimen bonsai of Carpinus turczaninovii (Hornbeam), a deciduous species, prized for its pale bark and bright green serrated leaves. The foliage turns golden yellow to brownish orange in autumn and sheds its leaves in winter, giving it a very decorative appearance. Cultivated in the formal upright style (Chokkan), characterised by a straight, conical trunk that conveys stability, strength and balance. The branching develops in an orderly and progressive manner, creating a harmonious structure that enhances the natural majesty of the plant. The oval green glazed stoneware pot enhances the plant and recalls the foliage and undergrowth, creating an elegant visual ensemble.
