Juniperus chinensis - Juniper - 77 cm

Unique specimen bonsai of uniperus chinensis (Chinese Juniper), an attractive evergreen conifer, is prized for its elegance and remarkable durability. The needle-like, deep green, dense and compact foliage creates well-defined masses that enhance the structure and give depth to the composition. Over time the bark tends to crack, taking on a mature appearance, which adds to the character of the specimen. The shari style (Sharimiki) has visible jin on the branches and shari on the trunk, giving the plant an appearance of antiquity and strength. This style mixes live and dead wood, emphasising the strength and beauty of the plant. The whole conveys balance, solidity and harmony, with a dynamic line that accompanies the eye from the base to the top of the foliage. It is grown in a cloud unglazed stoneware pot with natural, textural tones that recall the elements of earth and rock, enhancing the authenticity of the composition and giving the bonsai a majestic and refined appearance.
