The dimensions, color and shape of the pot may vary depending on availability.
This working plant of Prunus pink cascade (flowering cherry), belonging to the deciduous flowering variety, is known for its very decorative pink spring blossoms, that appear before the leaves. The distinctive feature of this species is the weeping (cascading) habit of its branches, which reach down to touch the ground, creating an ornamental dome. The foliage is initially bronze-copper in color, turning green in summer, then taking on orange-red hues in autumn and falling off in winter. It produces small black fruits in summer or autumn. It is a growing and shaping plant with a light and slender structure, grown in a black square plastic pot.
Grow bonsai outdoors all year round, taking care to place it in a sheltered spot during the colder months and in partial shade during the warmer months.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
