Working plant of Prunus kanzan, deciduous flower, one of Japan's most popular ornamental cherry trees for its spectacular spring blooming. In spring it gives double, deep pink flowers in small clusters that wrap around the branches creating a dramatic effect typical of Japanese cherry trees. The fruits, when present, are small, dark, but not very ornamental as this variety is cultivated mainly for the aesthetic value of the flowers. The foliage is green, turns golden-yellow and bronze-orange in autumn and sheds in winter. It is a growing and shaping plant. Cultivated in a square black plastic pot.
