DESCRIPTION

The shohin bonsai of Euonymus alatus (spindle), is an ornamental deciduous fruiting species. It is prized for its spring flowering, small 4-petalled white-green flowers, and subsequent fruiting with reddish capsule fruits that open as they ripen, revealing red-orange seeds. In autumn, the foliage takes on beautiful red-orange hues and sheds in winter, often leaving the fruits visible on the branches. The fine, dense branching creates a harmonious and well-distributed silhouette. Modeled in multitrunk style (Kabudachi), it has multiple trunks emerging from a single base. Grown in a rectangular cream glazed stoneware pot, it adds elegance and highlights the deep green foliage.
