The University of Bonsai also offers short courses, lasting 9 hours, for a first approach to the art of bonsai. The program includes the discussion of the basic techniques of bonsai art, such as pruning, winding, transplanting and shaping as well as hints of plant physiology and phytopathology. The techniques are applied during the course under the supervision of the teacher on plants supplied directly by the school, which will remain the property of the student.

The specific work tools are the responsibility of the student, who, if he does not have them, can request them from the University with a special 10% discount.
