To give the bonsai the desired shape, wire is applied. Since this is a technique that generally takes a long time, the wire will remain wrapped around the plant for several months. It is therefore essential to use specific bonsai wire such as copper-plated aluminum wire, if you do not want to cause damage to the bark of branches and trunk. It combines all the advantages of aluminum wire, ductility, manageability, ease of use, overcoming, thanks to the thin dark and opaque copper covering, the obstacle of the unpleasant visual effect of aluminum. It does not oxidize or stain the bark. For effective wrapping, we recommend using a wire with a thickness equal to 1/3 of the thickness of the branch or trunk to be wrapped.
