Acer palmatum - Maple - 25 cm
Maple bonsai characterized by a height without pot of 20,5 cm, trunk size of 2 cm and nebari of 4 cm. The plant is grown in a round glazed stoneware pot measuring Ø12,5xH4,5 cm.
This shohin bonsai of Acer palmatum (maple) is a deciduous species, prized for its refined foliage that changes color as the seasons progress, turning from deep green to orange-yellow shades and deep red in autumn, before sheds its leaves in winter. It features an exposed root style (neagari) with a sinuous, sloping trunk structure, creating a sculptural and dynamic effect and highlighting the beauty of the roots. Cultivated in a round green glazed stoneware pot to highlight the roots and create an elegant contrast with the foliage.
Protect the foliage from the intense summer sun, while exposing it to the sun in autumn to intensify the color of the leaves. In winter, it is best to protect the root system from frost, especially when grown in very shallow pots or with exposed roots.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
