Acer palm. Shozyo-nomura - Maple - 31 cm
Acer palmatum Shozyo-nomura characterised by a height without pot of 24.5 cm and a trunk size of 1 cm. The plant is grown in a round stoneware pot whose dimensions are Ø15.5xH6.5 cm.
This bonsai of Acer palmatum Shozyo-nomura is a deciduous species that presents itself with intense red-burgundy hues in spring, and evolves during the season towards more intense and warmer colours in autumn, before shedding its leaves in winter. An excellent plant to try your hand at forming your own bonsai. It is grown in a round unglazed stoneware pot that creates a refined colour contrast with the foliage shades and gives the bonsai a natural feel.
Protect the foliage from the intense summer sun, while exposing it to the sun in autumn to intensify the color of the leaves. In winter, it is best to protect the root system from frost, especially when grown in very shallow pots or with exposed roots.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
