Acer palmatum kiyohime - Maple - 27 cm
Maple bonsai characterized by a height without pot of 21 cm, and trunk size of 0,5-1 cm. The plant is grown in a rectangular glazed stoneware pot whose dimensions are 14x12xH6 cm.
Bonsai of Acer palmatum kiyohime (Maple), a deciduous species, valued for its compact habit and fine branching. The foliage consists of small, delicate leaves that emerge in spring with light green shades edged in red. It turns spectacular shades of orange and deep red in autumn, and sheds its leaves in winter. Set in a multi-trunk style, in which several trunks develop from the same base, creating a balanced and harmonious composition that enhances the density of the foliage and gives great visual depth to the plant. Grown in a rectangular blue glazed stoneware pot, with rounded corners, it contrasts elegantly with the shades of the foliage, enhancing its beauty.
Protect the foliage from the intense summer sun, while exposing it to the sun in autumn to intensify the color of the leaves. In winter, it is best to protect the root system from frost, especially when grown in very shallow pots or with exposed roots.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
