Stewarthia - 33 cm
Bonsai of Stewarthia characterized by a height without pot of 27 cm, and trunk size of 0,2-0,7 cm. The plant is grown in a rectangular glazed stoneware pot whose dimensions are 22x16xH6 cm.
Bonsai of Stewarthia, a deciduous species, particularly appreciated for its elegant and natural appearance; it evokes a small glimpse of a miniature forest. The fine, harmonious foliage is bright green during the vegetative season, turning warm shades of yellow, orange and red in autumn before the winter fall. It is also a flowering bonsai: between late spring and early summer it can produce delicate white flowers with a golden yellow centre, similar to small wild camellias. After flowering, small ornamental capsular fruits may appear which ripen towards the end of summer. Cultivated in a forest style (yose-ue), in which several trunks of different sizes and heights are arranged in a seemingly random manner but designed to create depth and perspective. The slender and slightly sinuous trunks contribute to a natural and dynamic effect, while the asymmetrical arrangement of the trees faithfully recalls the irregularity of a forest environment. Cultivated in a rectangular cream glazed stoneware pot, chosen to enhance the overall composition and provide the necessary space for the 'landscape' to develop, creating a delicate visual balance between container and vegetation.
