Acer palmatum 'Arakawa' – Maple – 60 cm
A maple bonsai measuring 43.5 cm in height (excluding the pot) and with a trunk diameter of 2 cm. The plant is grown in a round black plastic pot measuring Ø19 x H16.5 cm.
Acer palmatum ‘Arakawa’ bonsai (maple), a deciduous species, prized for its palmate leaves with vibrant seasonal colours. The bright green foliage turns shades of orange-yellow through to deep red in autumn and sheds its leaves in winter. It features a trunk that lends it a natural and elegant appearance, and slender branches that branch out upwards. Cultivated in a round black plastic pot, it creates a refined contrast with the colour of the foliage, enhancing the composition with elegance.
Protect the foliage from the intense summer sun, while exposing it to the sun in autumn to intensify the color of the leaves. In winter, it is best to protect the root system from frost, especially when grown in very shallow pots or with exposed roots.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
