DESCRIPTION

Acer palmatum (maple) bonsai, a deciduous species prized for its vibrant seasonal colours and elegance. The bright green foliage turns shades of orange-yellow through to deep red in autumn and sheds its leaves in winter. Grown in a round black plastic Air Pot, this is a solution designed to promote vigorous and healthy root growth. The unique perforated structure improves oxygenation of the roots and encourages denser, more uniform branching, resulting in a stronger and more balanced plant.

How to keep your bonsai healthy

Location

Protect the foliage from the intense summer sun, while exposing it to the sun in autumn to intensify the color of the leaves. In winter, it is best to protect the root system from frost, especially when grown in very shallow pots or with exposed roots.
