Interesting genus of the Cupressaceae family.
It can reach up to 35 m in height, with a pyramid shape. It has very dark bark, which comes off in stripes. The branches have needle-like, flattened, opposite leaves, with two lines of stomata on the lower surface, which in autumn take on shades of red-brown and then fall.
