Rhododendron indicum - Azalea - 14 cm
Azalea bonsai characterised by a height without pot of 10.5 cm and a trunk size of 0.8 cm. The plant is grown in a cloud-shaped stoneware pot whose dimensions are 11x8xH3.5 cm.
Bonsai of Rhododendron indicum (azalea), an evergreen flowering bonsai: it is distinguished by its pink-coloured flowers with delicate dots of deeper pink on the upper petals. It is prized for its spring flowering which creates an elegant and lively contrast to the green leaves. The leaves are small and oval, bright green during the growing season. Being an evergreen, it retains its foliage all year round; in the colder months it may take on darker or bronzed shades, while still maintaining a decorative appearance. It is grown in a woodland style in a stoneware cloud vase that enhances the contrast between its dark blue colour and that of its foliage and flowers, which are lighter and brighter.
Grow bonsai outdoors all year round, taking care to place it in a sheltered spot during the colder months and in partial shade during the warmer months. Azaleas also benefit from a well-ventilated position.
Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.

Fertilize from spring to fall, avoiding the hottest months of July/August; it is best to fertilize at the end of flowering and after pruning, using an organic, liquid, or solid fertilizer.
