DESCRIPTION

Unique specimen bonsai of Akebia quinata, a deciduous fruit tree prized for its refined appearance. The leaves consist of five small oval blades arranged in a radial pattern, green which can take on warmer shades in autumn, contributing to a very decorative seasonal effect. In spring it produces the characteristic pendulous flowers in small clusters, pinkish-purple in color with a delicate scent. After flowering, if conditions are favourable, elongated purple fruits similar to small capsules may develop. When ripe, they open naturally, showing a clear, gelatinous pulp with small dark seeds. Cultivated in a lotus-flower pot made of cream glazed stoneware with harmonious lines, it highlights the color of the leaves and perfectly matches the refined appearance of the bonsai.

Watering

Always respect the dry and wet cycles: whenever the soil feels dry to the touch, water abundantly. Then wait for the soil to dry before watering again in the same way.
