DESCRIPTION

This bonsai of Callicarpa japonica (japanese beautyberry) belonging to the deciduous fruit variety, is known for its small purple fruits that decorate the branches in autumn, creating a unique ornamental effect. In late spring it produces lilac-pink, four-petalled, flowers arranged in clusters at the axils of the leaves. The bonsai is grown in a cobalt blue glazed stoneware pot, with a rectangular shape and rounded corners, which enhances the delicacy of the plant and lends elegance to the whole.
